The Rochester Convention & Visitor's Bureau is hosting their first Blues & BBQ Festival this Saturday, August 22 from 4-10:30 pm at Peace Plaza (see the Map) in downtown Rochester. Bands include Davina & the Vagabonds, Avey Brothers Band, Joel Pingitore & the Playground, Paul Mayasich, Damon Fowler Group and Plan 'B' Blues Band. The Bros. Curtis will play between sets and Jacquie Maddix (KFAI Radio) will emcee the event. Tickets are $25 and include one food item from each of the five participating food vendors. All proceeds from this event benefit the Rochester Arts Council. Tickets are only available in advance and may be purchased online.
