Blues in SSP at Bugg's Place

This is your chance! "T" has been on the road quite a bit this year and continues to roll through Iowa and Wisconsin. But this Friday you can catch the T. Albert Lloyd Band at Bugg's Place in South St. Paul from 9 pm to 1:30 am. You are advised to bring your dancing shoes and get ready for some "kick-butt, groovin' and movin' blues".

Smalley's Caribbean BBQ Brings Blues to Stillwater

Bourbones Have Regular Friday Night Gig

In April 2008 The Bourbones toured the south with stops in Kansas City, St Louis, Memphis and Clarksdale, MS. In Clarksdale they participated in the Juke Joint Festival playing with Jimbo Mathus at the storied venues of Messengers, Red's and Ground Zero. The Kansas City Blues News listed them as one of their "hot picks" and they were recorded by William Lee Ellis at the Center for Southern Folklore in Memphis.

Now you can enjoy the Bourbones every Friday night at Smalley's Caribbean BBQ & Pirate Bar beginning at 10 pm. The band members are: Mike Kimmel (guitar), Katy Thomasberg (bass), Rhona Brack (harmonica) and Renee Bracchi (drums).

Bev's Jook Joint in Superior, WI

Blues with Atmosphere Across the Bridge

Bev's Jook Joint has long been home to the Blues in Superior WI. Offering top national acts as well as talented regional artists, Bev's is the place to be for live music. With a musical theme and an "underground speakeasy" atmosphere, the walls are filled with signatures of artists who have graced the stage and pictures of them with Bev line the walls. Local musicians find Bev's a fun joint to hang out at and the show often turns into a jam session. Bev has been know to take down the old guitar and "play" a few licks with the band.
