Thanks to the Minnesota Music Cafe, all the participating musicians and the folks who came to listen for making this event a success. At the end of the day, GTCBMS had an additional $434 to add to the fund to help offset expenses for our 2007 IBC competitors: Papa John Kolstad & Clint Hoover and the Cool Disposition Band.
Performers included: The Good Time Willy Band, Andrew "Cadillac" Kolstad, Rockin' Daddy & the Roughcuts, John Franken, Steve Vonderharr, Papa John & Clint Hoover and Cool Disposition.
Steve Vonderharr
Special thanks to Harold Tremblay for his efforts to organize and promote this event on KFAI and for, once again, bringing out "the dancers".
Andrew "Cadillac" Kolstad really got the house rockin' starting with a solo set. He returned to the stage to join Cool Disposition during their set.

Greater Twin Cities Blues Music Society Annual Picnic
by Doug Spike
Lessons
Outdoors on a beautiful July sunny day in good company with a plate of tasty food and blues music in the air…sounds like a dream, or maybe a Greater Twin Cities Blues Music Society annual picnic!
Audience
The Greater Twin Cities Blues Music Society Annual Picnic was held on Sunday, July 23 in Judy Cedar’s beautiful backyard in White Bear Lake.
Clint Hoover
Papa John and Clint
Well fed and happy
GTCBMS members and their guests enjoyed two rousing sets from local Road To Memphis winners Papa John Kolstad and Clint Hoover. The kids in the audience (both young and old) were treated to a free harmonica and mini-lesson from Clint after which they entertained the crowd with their new skills.
With chicken, biscuits and red beans/rice provided by the society and pot luck appetizers, side dishes and delicious deserts, no one went home hungry.
Don King and Cornbread
While all left with full stomachs and pleasant sounds in their ears, the luckier attendees also went home with wonderful door prizes. If you like good music, good food and good company, don’t miss the GTCBMS picnic next year.
