Minnesota-based harmonica player, Mike Fugazzi writes: "I am super excited, honored, and humbled to announce that I am now an official endorser of Hohner Harmonicas. Local musician, Bob Pontious, passed away on November 19, 2010. His life and music will be celebrated at a benefit concert this Sunday, January 9 at Minnesota Music Cafe beginning at 3 pm. Musical guests will include Bob's former band, Soul Tight Committee, along with CBO, JB & the Routine, Willie Walker, Bluprint, Hookers and Blow and more. $10 suggested donation goes to CaringBridge.com and the estate of Bob Pontious. 'Big Daddy' Billy Cade has been entertaining crowds across the country for years with his BB King Tribute Show. This Saturday, January 8, he will take the stage at Wilebski's Blues Saloon at 7:30 pm. Blues & Soul Band from Owatonna
The Mark Cameron Band is a three-piece, blues & soul band based out of Owatonna, MN. The band is made up of Mark Cameron (guitar/vocals/songwriter), John Benedict (drums) and Scott Lundberg (bass). This past April the band participated in GTCBMS's Road To Memphis Challenge. They will be appearing this Saturday, January 8 at Neumann's Bar in North St Paul. — Jake Jacobson
