THE LAST FUNDRAISER FOR THE MUSICIANS REPRESENTING MINNESOTA AT THE 2015 INTERNATIONAL BLUES CHALLENGE. EVENT TO INCLUDE MUSIC, SILENT AUCTION AND BAKE SALE.
Once again, Harold Tremblay (KFAI-House Party) and the Minnesota Blues Society are partnering for the final Road to Memphis (RTM) Fundraiser. This charity event helps offset expenses of the traveling musicians who are representing Minnesota at the 2015 Blues Foundation’s International Blues Challenge (IBC) held January 20-24 in Memphis, Tn.
Hurricane Harold always secures an all-star cast for the ‘Big Bash’ with some of the area’s finest blues musicians. They include past IBC competitors and Minnesota Hall of Famers. Then he caps it off with performances by the 2015 Minnesota challengers of Jimmi & the Band of Souls (band), Brother Sun Sister Moon (Duo act), and the Youth Showcase Black Water Blues Band.
The RTM fundraiser will include a BAKE SALE and SILENT AUCTION. We are asking our members, friends and family to donate baked goods or auction items. The auction items should have a minimum value of $25; or a combination of items can be used to create a ‘package’ of that value. Helpful tips for creating an attractive ready-for-sale package can be found at http://www.wikihow.com/Create-a-Beautiful-Gift-Basket.
Four drop-off locations are available for auction items and arrangements can be made for drop-off by contacting:
Brigid Martin-West Metro Brigid@mnbs.org;
Ken Tritz-SW/SE/South Metro Ken@mnbs.org;
Al Meyer-W/SW Metro agent525@mac.com;
Christina Hoglund-NE Metro Christina@mnbs.org.
Baked goods brought to the event should be packaged and ready for sale.
