2008 MN Blues Hall of Fame Recipients Announced

Willie Murphy Named "Blues Performer"

The ballots have been counted for the 2008 Minnesota Blues Hall of Fame Awards. The Greater Twin Cities Blues Music Society members have chosen to honor the following recipients in these respective categories:

• "Blues Performer": Willie Murphy
• "Blues Recording": Blues, Rags and Hollers by Koerner, Ray & Glover
• "Blues Song": "It's All Right" by Dave Ray
• "Blues Literature": Rock Keyboard by Scottie Miller
• "Non-Performer Supportive of the Blues": Tom Asp, photographer

The date for the 2008 MN Blues Hall of Fame Ceremony has been set for Sunday October 19th at the Eagles' Club, 2507 E. 25th St. in Minneapolis. Be sure to mark your calendars.
